How Far Ejculate How "far" Will A 18-55mm Lens "zoom" On A Digital Camera?

How "far" will a 18-55mm lens "zoom" on a digital Camera? - how far ejculate

I am new to the Digi-SLR world, and I soon I plan to buy my first camera. But even if a standard zoom lens (14-42mm or 18-55mm). For example, a current device 2x and 3x optical digital, how would this end?
4 hours - 4 days to respond.
Moreover, if I would buy a lens at an air show from an additional 300 mm to give me decent images (as in the relatively near) the plane?

Moderate dose is relatively long. 34mm is "normal" for an APS-C. Digital Point FOV probably comparable to most compact 3x.

Yes, I think it would be a 300-mm lens is really useful for aircraft in flight.

Is 3x at the point and shoot camera around 3x28mm = 84mm (most P & S you are using a 28mm lens)
It is almost one and a half times more than the DSLR 18-55 mm in order to enlarge it.
Yes 300mm would be a great help. Look for 70-300mm zoom.

Which model do you get?
Please do not say a Nikon D40.

A 42 mm is approximately what you will be able to see with my own eyes, so just a little closer to 55mm.

There are some excellent low-cost 70-300mm round-the targeted goals, especially the Sigma or Tamron, is ideal for airplanes and fauna.

I think it is a standard 50mm lens, the 18-55 would be better suited to work about 10 meters. 2x optical sound is very limited. 300 mm can be closer, but difficult, the movement of aircraft target.
Treat in store for the camera at something like 18-20x optical zoom. Digital zoom is not good because it breaks the image pixel expansion. a stable tripod is also something very useful or static, such as stabilizing a wall to the camera, then zoom and focus, you can also move in order to capture the movement and speed to show a little blurry at times, very impressive when it is on the right hand side identified.
in practice, many objects in motion before the big day, just to avoid waste, easy. Some shops are equipped with decent cameras used cameras for sale? Good luck.

By clicking on the 1st, 3rd and 4 Images seen on this link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstei ... Get the information you need.

A 300-mm lens to do well in an air show. A 70-300 zoom is all you meet at an airshow at.

Here is an example (fatal shot, but it is good to show the scale) in 70 mm http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstei ...
